Peter Evans

I am a multidisciplinary artist from London currently residing in Brazil. My practice is inspired and informed by the mundanity of the everyday, specifically how this plays out in our daily lives. The process of producing artworks using found objects replays the subject matter in the viewed works, creating a cycle of inspiration and production reliant on what I see and experience within my surroundings. My work traverses painting, collage, text based work, poetry and music. In 2017 my self-published book Thinking of You, Post cards:1948-2015 was included in the Tate Library & Archive collection in London. Prior to this in 2015 I was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Award at Chelsea College of Art, graduating from the MA Fine Art course in 2016. More recently I was in residence and had work included in a group show at Palazzo Monti in Brescia, Italy. A current series of Scratchcard paintings have been included in shows at Saatchi Gallery and Delphian Gallery (both London).
