I studied BA fine art painting at Wimbledon School of Art and MA fine art at UAL I am currently undertaking practice led research at Middlesex University. My art practice is concerned with concepts of subjectivity, stasis and transformation. I paint in oils on canvas and I am currently working on a body of work which explores landscape, monsters and the relationship of these to identity; this work draws on the medieval poem 'Sir Gawain and the Green Knight' as a way to reassess contemporary culture and politics. My Fine Art PhD is titled 'The High Wasteland, Scar and Form in the English Landscape: what is the function of the monster in the English landscape'.
